The update is for students AND parents (please share with your parents): In the over-abundance of information going out right now in our community and in our world in general, I met with administration Thursday morning. We are operating at maintaining STATUS QUO right now in the choirs. We are acting as if Martinsburg and Monday/Tuesday evening events and rehearsals are ON. We are not ignoring your concerns or your questions. We (Mr Kehne, Ms Hackett and I) plan to meet Monday morning to put together an update for you and will send it out via Remind, Schoology, Classroom, and the Choral Website www.urbanachoirs.org once we have met. I will continue to listen to your concerns, but I will hold off on giving out more information at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
MARTINSBURG CHORAL FESTIVAL AND COMPETITION! All of our choir students (first and second semester, after-school ensembles, EVERYONE) is participating in the Martinsburg competition weekend! Concert Choir and Chambers/Hawkapella are on FRIDAY, March 20. Show Choir is on SATURDAY, March 21. Please visit the Sign-Up Genius links below to make sure that we have carpools and rides arranged for EVERYONE! Please remember that FCPS students ARE allowed to drive themselves, but they are NOT ALLOWED to transport other students. Non-drivers must be transported by adults that are NOT FCPS students.
LITTLE MERMAID FLORALS FUNDRAISER AND ORDERS: Our final fundraiser for the year is our annual flower sales for the spring musical. We need parent, student, and alumni volunteers to help put flower bouquets together on Wed Apr 1 and Thurs Apr 2 in the UHS Cafeteria. The more hands we have, the faster the process will go!
